CLASS DESCRIPTION: Have you always wanted to learn how to spin pots on the pottery wheel? Beginner students will learn a variety of techniques to create usable pottery . Students with previous experience will learn techniques to make more complex forms and build their skill set . This class is great for all levels of students to explore the potter’s wheel in our fun & creative clay community!

Min. 6 Students; Max 10

Materials included: Students receive a 25LB bag of clay, individual shelf space, glazing and firings, and scheduled Open Studio time in addition to class time.

During this course, participants will learn a design process which will help them practice brainstorming, developing, and refining original ideas . These ideas will be used during the course of the session to create personal projects with the help of an experienced studio instructor.

Enjoy an introductory session at the potter's wheel while learning basic techniques to create your own unique functional pottery piece. All items made during the workshop are safe for food use, including dishwashers, and microwaves! Calling all bibliophiles, writers, readers and book enthusiasts!! Join us for our Bookends Public Ceramics Workshop in celebration of National Book Month! Create personalized handmade bookends from slabs of clay, perfect for holding your cherished reads upright while adding an artisanal touch to your at-home library.
