CLASS DESCRIPTION: Whether beginner or advanced, Mixed-Level Handbuilding is designed for students of all levels of experience . In this class students will learn a variety of clay construction techniques and will explore techniques like pinching, coiling, slab building, and using simple molds . Students will investigate various surface decoration techniques; gaining an understanding in techniques such as slip trailing, incising, stamped impressions, and wax resist to enhance their toolbox of clay knowledge . Each week students will be challenged to grow and evolve creatively through guided instruction and through self-guided practice with scheduled Open Studio times .
Min. 6 Students; Max 10
Materials included: Students receive a 25LB bag of clay, individual shelf space, glazing and firings, and scheduled Open Studio time in addition to class time.
AGES: 16 & up
FEE: $200 .00 per session ($256 .00 non-residents)
