CLASS DESCRIPTION: This course is for students who have an independent working knowledge of basic hand-building (pinching, coiling, & slab-building) and wheel-throwing skills. During this course, participants will learn a design process which will help them practice brainstorming, developing, and refining original ideas . These ideas will be used during the course of the session to create personal projects with the help of an experienced studio instructor.
Min. 6 Students; Max 12
Materials included: Students receive a 25LB bag of clay, individual shelf space, glazing and firings, and scheduled Open Studio time in addition to class time.
AGES: 16 & up
FEE: $200 .00 per session ($256 .00 non-residents)
Registration can be done on-site at the Ceramics Center, the ClearWater Main Building, or other Parks & Recs Centers; online via https://secure.rec1.com/NC/concord-nc/catalog (cilck ‘Arts’ and then ‘Ceramics Center’); OR over the phone.
