The Cabarrus Art Guild is delighted to welcome artist Cynthia Howard to our monthly demonstration meeting held at ClearWater Artist Studios. Cynthia has been described as a Romantic Impressionist and an Expressionist artist. She will be painting a landscape to demonstrate her work, using water soluble oils.

Ms. Howard’s travels in the U.S. and Europe provide material and inspiration for her work. Here in North Carolina, she uses the mountains, the streams, and the coastal areas to create a mood or a feeling with color, value, and contrast for her paintings.

In her current series she has included paintings of wineries, vineyards and cottages. To see some of Ms. Howards paintings, her website is cynthiahowardartistinstructor.com.

This demonstration is presented by the Cabarrus Art Guild. It is FREE and open to the public.

GIF Horizontal Improved Final Graphic.gif

A joint Guest Artist show of expressive paintings by Andell McCoy and Erin Allen, two regional artists - and friends -  based in Albemarle, NC:

  • Opening Reception Friday, Nov. 2, 6:30pm-8:30pm

  • Joint Artist Talk, same evening, ClearWater Gallery, 7pm

Statement from Erin and Andell:
Dream in Color is a bright and bold celebration of Color at a time of year when everyone needs it. As artists, we believe strong color inspires positivity and exuberant living. Neutrals, monotones, and dishwater beige need not apply. We are two women finally back on track with what life derailed – rediscovering art and placing creating art at the top of life’s priorities. Art with truth and light and energy. “Wouldn’t it be lovely if people didn’t have to wait until later in life to do what they dream of? We’re back on track and want to share it with the world!"
