January Demonstration: Wood Burning Designs

Where: Clearwater Arts Center and Studios. 223 Crowell Dr. NW, Concord, NC 28025 NOTE: Art Demo is in the lower-level Greenway Gallery; Enter at Kerr St. side of Main Building, double-doors. [Main Entrance, on Crowell Dr NW, will be closed.]
For January’s Free Art Demonstration with the Cabarrus Art Guild (CAG), local artist, Kayla Merie Bayne will show a wood burning technique on a 3-dimensional sculpture, using mixed media (i.e., wood, glue, paint).
The sculpture will be prepared on its base, and the demonstration will focus on the wood-burning techniques used to finish the piece.
After this demonstration, attendees should have the basic skills needed to get started burning designs too!
Bayne works with several mediums depending on her current project; including ceramics, watercolor, paper art, resin and wood burning.
The event is free and open to the public.
Please arrive before 2 PM, so as not to interrupt the speaker’s presentation
