SOUTHERN PIEDMONT WOODTURNERS
Invites you to enjoy an evening with
“Tools, Tips and Tricks”
Please bring a friend and join us as Jim Duxbury, wood turner and inventor demonstrates and teaches “Tools, Tips and Tricks” for our April meeting. Jim is the kind of guy who thinks, creates and turns “out of the box”. Jim’s kaleidoscopes are a signature item, custom designed and the recipient of numerous awards. Jim will share his insights into use of traditional tools, tips on how to get from point A to point B quickly, efficiently and effectively. Finally, he will share “tricks” he has picked up, developed and adapted to help us become better turners. Jim’s fascination with wood and wood grains, from the most exotic to the common native varieties, his ability to employ the wood lathe and to adapt tools, all lead to experiments of new and exciting ideas. We will have time for questions and answers.
